The kids are in Spanish class and I get to do some writing. Hooray!

DS1 sat through Book 1 of the The Magic Treehouse series. We are in chapterbooks now!

I'm trying to finish a fiction manuscript. I have a full-time day job, three kids, two cats, and one husband so writing sometimes slips down the priority list. Hopefully, this journal will keep me motivated.

It has been a frustrating process, but I've kept at it for four years now so I'm giving myself some brownie points for perseverance. Right now I am working on my paranormal romance series. I came up with a good scene between two characters. It takes care of the worldbuilding AND is not overly expository. I also managed to sneak in some internal conflict for one of the characters. I'm feeling pretty productive.

The kids are playing with play-doh. I'm going to have to clean up a lot of play-doh when they are done, but it will be worth it.
